SM+ Data Centers and LG Sinar Mas Participate in Indonesia Cloud & Datacenter Convention 2026

Jakarta, 7 May 2026 — SM+ Data Centers and LG Sinar Mas participated as sponsors at the Indonesia Cloud & Datacenter Convention 2026, held on 7 May 2026 at Shangri-La Jakarta. The convention served as one of Indonesia’s key industry platforms for discussions surrounding AI infrastructure, cloud adoption, digital connectivity, and the future of data center development in the country.

Throughout the event, SM+ Data Centers showcased its infrastructure capabilities and ongoing developments, including SMX01, the company’s flagship metro data center located in Jakarta CBD. Designed to support high-density and AI-ready deployments, SMX01 is being developed with scalable power capacity, low-latency interconnection, and close proximity to Indonesia’s primary business districts and digital ecosystems.

As demand for AI computing, cloud services, and enterprise digitalization continues to grow, metro data centers are becoming increasingly important in supporting low-latency and high-performance digital infrastructure. SMX01 is positioned to support these requirements while serving enterprises, hyperscalers, and cloud providers operating in Indonesia’s rapidly evolving digital market.

The facility is also approaching a significant construction milestone, with its topping-off scheduled to take place later this week. The milestone marks continued progress in the development of SMX01 as part of SM+ Data Centers’ broader infrastructure expansion strategy in Indonesia.

In addition to participating as sponsors, SM+ & LG Sinar Mas representatives also contributed to several discussions during the convention. Herson Suindah, President Director & Group CEO of SM+ Holdings, delivered a keynote session titled “Edge and AI-Ready Data Centers: Building the Infrastructure for Indonesia’s Digital Economy,” which explored the growing role of next-generation infrastructure in supporting Indonesia’s digital transformation agenda.

Meanwhile, Avnish Patankar, Yosef Marpaung, and Ariawan participated in panel discussions alongside fellow industry stakeholders, sharing perspectives on AI readiness, cloud ecosystem growth, connectivity demands, and the future outlook of Indonesia’s data center industry.

SM+ Data Centers and LG Sinar Mas would like to thank all partners, customers, and visitors who stopped by the booth during the event. The company looks forward to continuing industry collaboration and sharing further updates on SMX01 in the near future.
