Jakarta, 26 February 2026 — SM+ Data Centers announces the successful Phase 1 energization of SMX01, its flagship Metro Data Center, marking an important step in strengthening Jakarta’s digital infrastructure. In collaboration with PT PLN (Persero), SM+ has secured an initial 10 MVA power supply to support early operations.
This milestone enables SMX01 to begin operations with strong scalability in place. The facility is designed to expand quickly to 2 x 30 MVA, supporting up to 24 MW of IT load as demand grows. As part of a larger 2 x 450 MVA power allocation, the campus is planned to deliver up to 180 MW of IT capacity, positioning SM+ to support large-scale cloud, AI, and enterprise workloads.
Located in the heart of Jakarta, our flagship SMX01 offers a rare combination of scale and proximity to key business and network hubs. This strategic location enhances connectivity and reduces latency for customers operating in the city.
Reliability remains a core focus. SMX01 is supported by dual power sources from the Manggarai and Dukuh Atas substations, ensuring high availability and operational resilience for mission-critical infrastructure.
SM+ Data Centers extends its appreciation to PT PLN (Persero) for the strong collaboration and seamless coordination in achieving this milestone. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting Indonesia’s growing digital economy.
With Phase 1 energization complete, SM+ is ready to support the next wave of digital growth, from cloud adoption to AI-driven innovation.
